Free access to our UK general election newsgathering tool

In 2016 Krzana was the go to tool for journalists monitoring the US election, examining topics such as election and voter fraud.

Our real time search engine is once again powering newsrooms for the 2017 UK general election.

In the build up to the election, journalists will be using Krzana to monitor discussions by and about every political candidate on any topic, across 60,000 handpicked sources, from social media and blogs to local and national press.

Events

We will be providing a free Google Hangout training session at 1pm on June 1st. Anyone who wants to learn more about Krzana can join here then.

Also, on the evening of the 1st of June the team will be at Newspeak House, Shoreditch, from 6pm using the tool to source news stories and publishing them on Twitter. If any journalists would like to come down for a beer and some hands-on training or Q&A they are more than welcome. Just drop us an email to confirm your place.

Election channels

Krzana allows you to build your own custom newsgathering channels around any topic you care about.

Krzana Election provides both template channels that focus on key election policies, candidates, and locations as well as allowing users to create their own personalised on the fly searches. Examples of the template channels can be seen below.

“We use Krzana not as a replacement for people, but to make them more efficient. Essentially what takes the platform seconds would take a journalist a lot longer! It’s about creating efficiency in the competitive world of news. “

“Krzana is also useful during a breaking or ongoing (but ultimately temporary) news event, such as a storm, earthquake or terror attack. The ability to set up new searches (Channels) as and when something happens is important. The great thing for us is the app, which mirrors the platform, keeps us informed when on the move – great for journalists!”
